Dana and Stéphane Maitec are photographers who have been based in Paris for the past 15 years.
A couple in real life as well as behind the camera, these two inseparable artists live life passionately, shuttling between Paris, New York, and all the others wonderful places in this world.
Stéphane’s craft as a set designer, acquired at the Fine Arts Academy, beautifully complements the deeply intimate images of self-taught photographer Dana.
Above all, they see themselves as portraitists with a real passion for capturing the look and attitude of the everyman as well as famous faces from the worlds of cinema, sports, music and politics.
With a penchant for surrealist compositions, the Maitecs throw a new light on their subjects through a poetic prism and cinematic approach, by using the same lighting employed in cinema. As independent photographers, they generate their own projects as well as work on private and company commissions.
Their work can be found worldwide in collections in Germany, Australia, Belgium, China, USA, France, UK, Hong Kong, Italy, Monaco, New Zealand, Switzerland, Romania and Russia.

Couple à la ville comme derrière l’objectif, Dana et Stéphane Maitec ces deux artistes inséparables, auteurs-photographes et artistes plasticiens membres de la Maison des Artistes, vivent à Paris depuis plus de quinze ans.
Les talents de scénographe de Stéphane, acquis à l’école des Beaux Arts, s’allient à la perception intense et intime de Dana, entièrement autodidacte.
Véritables créateurs de photographies esthétiques, ils se considèrent avant tout comme portraitistes.
Le couple capte le regard et l’attitude d’anonymes ou de personnalités du monde artistique, du cinéma, de la musique, du sport ou de la politique.
Avec un fort intérêt pour les compositions surréalistes, Dana et Stéphane savent apporter un nouveau regard à leurs sujets à travers un prisme poétique et un traitement cinématographique, utilisant tels des orfèvres la lumière de projecteurs du septième art.
Photographes indépendants, ils étirent leur champ de création entre projets personnels et commandes institutionnelles ou privées.
